The Phantom of the Opera (1925)

All I can say about this movie is wow. It is so amazingly good. I have never been a fan of silent movies but this one was excellent. I read the book earlier this year and this movie is the closest adaptation of the book I have seen. Lon Cheney is excellent as the Phantom. Even though his make-up is not scary by today's standards I can see how people fainted at the sight of it in 1925. I highly recommend this film for all my fellow Phantom fans out there.
